House Harkonnen led by Vladimir Harkonnen is a custom civilization created by Mathetes tou Megalou Alexandrou.
Overview[]
Dawn of Man[]
House Harkonnen bows to your iron rule, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen! You are the great Baron of House Harkonnen. Your father, Dmitri Harkonnen gained wealth through commerce, and you too have continued your father's policies to enrich House Harkonnen. Although your plot to eliminate House Atreides backfired when the Muad'dib Paul Atreides survived your cooperative strike with House Corrino, you have no such feuds here to lead to your destruction.
Great Baron, the House Harkonnen obeys your cruel rule and will follow you to build a great house. Use your insight hidden beneath your violence and make House Harkonnen Great, O Baron Vladimir Harkonnen! Will you lead your House to prosperity instead of doom? Can you build a civilization that will stand the test of time?
Strategy[]
House Harkonnen is a production civilization that goes on the offensive, dealing great damage to its enemies.
Its bonus is a simple yet powerful one that incentivizes House Harkonnen to work luxury resources, giving them a bonus towards production and gold. With these two things, the House Harkonnen can go on the offensive, which is also rewarded with the gift of Slave units to improve needed tiles. Because of this, the House Harkonnen can ease unhappiness as long as its conquest efforts prioritize luxury resources that the Harkonnens do not have. With its veritable ability to quickly develop land tiles, the House Harkonnen can quickly gain an edge over many of its opponents.
In the late game, the House Harkonnen may continue its slow but devastating offensive with the aid of its mighty Devastators. While the Devastators are slower on the open terrain, they are not slowed down by rough terrain and rivers, making them ideal for such theaters.
